๐Ÿฅ” Crispy golden tater tots over cheesy beef and green beans โ€“ ultimate kid-friendly comfort casserole!
๐Ÿฅ˜ Quick-assembly family favorite packed with protein and veggies, baked to bubbly perfection in 45 minutes.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 pound lean ground beef – adds protein and rich, savory flavor while keeping the dish lighter than higher-fat beef.

– 1/2 onion, diced – brings sweetness and depth once sautรฉed.

– 2 cloves garlic, minced – adds a bold, warm flavor to the beef mixture.

– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce – gives the casserole a deeper, slightly tangy taste.

– 1 15-ounce can green beans, drained – adds vegetables and a little color to the dish.

– 1 10.75-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup – creates the creamy, comforting base.

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – adds melty, sharp flavor throughout the casserole.

– 2 cups frozen tater tots – forms the crispy golden topping everyone looks forward to.

– Salt and pepper to taste – rounds out the flavor at every layer.

Instructions

1-First Step: Preheat the oven and prepare the pan Start by setting your oven to 375ยฐF. While it heats, lightly grease an 8- or 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray. This step helps the casserole release more easily later and keeps the bottom from sticking.

2-Second Step: Brown the beef Place a skillet over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef. Cook it until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Once the meat is done, drain off the excess fat so the casserole does not turn greasy.

3-Third Step: Add the onion and garlic Stir in the diced onion and sautรฉ for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the onion turns translucent. Then add the minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute, stirring often so it does not burn.

4-Fourth Step: Season the beef mixture Pour in the Worcestershire sauce and stir well. Add salt and pepper to taste. This is a good moment to taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning before it goes into the baking dish.

5-Fifth Step: Transfer to the baking dish Spoon the beef mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Make sure the layer is level so the cream of mushroom soup and toppings sit nicely on top.

6-Sixth Step: Add the creamy and vegetable layers Spread the condensed cream of mushroom soup over the beef. Next, add the drained green beans and season them lightly with a little more salt and pepper if needed.

7-Seventh Step: Add the cheese and tater tots Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the green beans. Then arrange the frozen tater tots on top in a single layer. Try to cover the surface as evenly as possible so each serving gets a crispy top.

8-Eighth Step: Bake until golden and bubbly Bake the casserole for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted. The edges should look hot and bubbly when it is ready.

9-Final Step: Serve right away Remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest briefly, then serve immediately while the topping is still crisp. This dish tastes best hot, when the cheese is melty and the tater tots are at their crunchiest.
